The Black Hawks made quick work for a series sweep
over the surprisingly pitiful Kings.
Edmonton defeats Toronto 53-36
The Oilers took 6 games to defeat the Leafs 4 games
to 2. Roy's great goaltending was the reason the Leafs
managed to win two games.
Colorado defeats Winnipeg 38-24
The Avalanche took out the Jets 4 games to 2
to end the history of the Jets and hockey in Winnipeg.
New Jersey defeats the New York Islanders 67-24
For the second straight year, the Devils swept
past the Islanders, taking them in 4 games.
Ottawa defeats Montreal 36-18
The Senators took out the Canadians 4 games
to 2 in a slow pitiful series.
Tampa Bay defeats Boston 44-38
The Lightning defeated the Bruins in seven
games, 4 to 3.
Florida defeats Buffalo 69-68
In the most exciting series of the lot, the Panthers
edged the Sabres 4 games to 3, with Jaromir Jagr breaking
a tie score with less than 30 seconds left to play in
the final game.
